After never being anywhere close to finishing the Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational platinum, I managed to finish the newest game in the series in a few months' time.

The trophy list looks intimidating at first glance, with the condor and completing the gallery, but it's more time than skill required. Finishing the gallery and grinding out the final secret VS characters tacked on about ten hours more after I had finished everything else, and finishing the fish encyclopedia was another ten hours added to the total. Skill-wise, there's three condors required, but they can all be done on a certain hole in course 2 in ideal conditions with a good custom club (I used one with power 21), so it's just a matter of waiting until the conditions are lined up correctly. Also, the revenge VS characters - after hitting max rank, one will show up per day, resetting at midnight GMT. There's no way to change this and messing with the system clock does nothing - you have to wait until each one shows up (and sometimes none of them do).

All in all, it's a very enjoyable game but I think I've played it a little too much to get the last secret VS character and completing all the gallery members (120 challenge tournaments...), so I'm glad I've finished it! Also, I'm planning to start a bunch of PS4 games released over the year this month to see what is worth playing and what isn't. The list:

Touhou Genso Wanderer
Yakuza Kiwami

Maybe one of those will be the next platinum!

Damn, getting those condors looks like it'll be a pain.

I've gone through two sets of custom clubs and can't get the necessary power.

I'm pretty sure you could do it with 19 (or maybe lower even) since you could use a power shot to extend the distance. I didn't use a power shot for any of my three condors.
