A few series coming to an end isnt indicative of the health of the entire line. The trunks helped with breaking up the one dominate color of their main suit. If anything important is happening, it'll be advertised in the issues a few months in advance, telling you what dates and what issues are important. For things like Flashpoint and Rebirth, they're in self-contained mini series, with some tie-in comics that are branded. It sounds all super crazy when explained in hindsight but as its happening its not hard to follow, really. It would be easier to follow series if the while story wee in one tradeback. But when you gave onestor split into 15 five volumes book parts, it's both expensive and impossible to follow. I bought the avengers vs x-xmen compilation book. Cool. Then after I finish it, it splits into like 5 new series, none of which have a giant compilation to it. All of which have multiple 5 part books. Superman has both Superman and Action Comics.
