I was doublechecking that site since both Firefox and Chrome aren't working.

This is so bizarre. WoW isn't working either, but I obviously have internet since I'm posting here. Netflix, Youtube, reddit, bunch of webcomics, all those work. Just imgur and WoW have issues.

change dns to 8.8.8.8

Why's that?

Because you're likely having DNS errors which are blocking certain websites and serves for you. 8.8.8.8. is Google's DNS server and should fix it.

Do I change IPv6 or IPv4?

I'm only vaguely familiar with this kinda thing.

ipv4

primary dns: 8.8.8.8
secondary: 8.8.4.4 or 4.4.2.2

8.8.4.4 is another google dns. 4.4.2.2 is a DNS owned by Level 3 which is some ISP in america apparently

change it on your primary ethernet (will say ethernet) or wi-fi (will say wi-fi) adapter. anything other than those are likely to be the wrong one

do not change ip address, subnet mask or default gateway.
disable ipv6 if you want its pretty much useless

That fixed it right up, thank you.

I had it set to obtain a DNS automatically, I'm assuming it just picked a bad one this time?

it gives you whatever dns your router gives you, which generally gives you whatever dns your ISP gives you. Your ISP will generally give you their own DNS servers, which are always worse than Googles DNS servers and other widely popular ones like 4.4.2.2

Weird that it just suddenly had a problem then. Twelve hours ago, everything was fine.
