It's the little things in movies that I enjoy and wish I could talk about with movie aficionados (or simply meet people as interested in movies as I am) like for example The Warriors.

In The Warriors they're all on the run since there's a bounty on their head and all the other gangs are after them. There's a scene where some of the crew meet a gang of all girls called "the Lizzies" (lol at the double meaning) and hide out in their apartment for a while.

The guys of course are super into partying with them and making out and chilling with them, but one of the guys isn't interested in neither the girls nor the current scene, and keeps insisting that they should get to the meet up point as soon as possible while his crew are telling him to relax and "enjoy himself" here. Up until it turns out the girls were luring them here to kill them/capture them and collect the bounty on their heads and they're like "OH SHIT!" and try to get outta there.

It's never outright stated but I always thought that it was implied that the guy who warned them from the beginning was gay and so wasn't swayed by the "Lizzies" feminine charm. The guy is super cute with a smooth face and he wears some neckerchief thing on hisfor lack of a better wordneck. And he showed no interest in the girls. They never state it in the movie but I took it to mean that he was gay.

Did anyone else get that vibe?

I remember reading the original draft screenplay years ago - instead of the Lizzies scene Swan ends up being kidnapped by an S&M gang who put him in a straitjacket and lock him in a cage then go to contact the Riffs to say they've got him

He ends up escaping, of course!

Not really. Even when he grows up a bit and becomes a father to Dexter he's still a relatively terrible person, teaching a homicidal maniac how to escape the law instead of getting him some real professional help.

He probably is supposed to be, but it's also possible he was just a shy straight guy who was smart and wasn't thinking with his dick. I love the movie. I also love the game too.

Swan wasn't in that lizzies scene he was busy making out with the puerto rican chick near the train tracks.

Yes but he's incredibly good looking, like boyish good looks, pouty lips, and wears a neckerchief. Usually I'd make mention of the fact that he's also showing a lot of chest hair but then again they're all half naked and showing a lot of chest so no point in mentioning that.

I hate people that try to project a sexual orientation on fictional characters in stories where it doesnt matter. Its like, wanting Chewbacca to be gay because he hangs out with Han and doesnt make out with Leia. If a characters sexual orientation isnt important to the story then shut the fuck up.

I took it as he was younger than the rest and didn't have quite as much interest in banging chicks. They just made him more nervous because of inexperience. Plus He was already super nervous. He could be gay though, idk.

I loved the movie as a kid but rewatched it as an adult and it's kind of like a so bad it's good movie.

He was the youngest in the gang and the only reason he was on the meeting was so he could tag places to prove that the Warriors had been there, giving them some street creds.
A sidenote, he is based on a different character in the book, who is having sex with a prostitute during that time.

Yeah he was the young guy who everyone dotes on and is looking out for, which is a trope I always like in movies.

Agreed. They're reaching at shit that isn't even there.

Hell, even in the book it showed that he was banging some prostitute and in the game, where Rockstar claimed to expand upon the movie showed nor referenced him swinging that way. He was thinking with his head not his other head, which ultimately saved his crew from a devious trap.

I was actually on amazon a few weeks ago trying to see if there's a good price for the ps2 game. I'm really interested in wanting to play it, game completely flew under my radar, had no idea about it and by Rockstar too.

The game was awesome. The first 3 quarters of the game is all prequel stuff, then the last bit has you playing through the movie. It actually does a great job of expanding on the source material

They re-released it on the PS4, but it has some music changes due to licensing issues.

As already mentioned, the prequel stuff is pretty good. You get to see the gang grow in Coney Island.
