'PC Master Race' they say.
'Best graphics of them all' they like to boast.

Yet for most AAA games that come out, I see more people instead complaining about optimization issues, lag or bad porting.
Then there's many who swear not to buy games from publishers like Ubisoft, EA or Activision, thinking it'll make a difference like real haha, which is very amusing considering these are the only top few publishers that are behind most AAA games in the market. AAA games with demanding graphics actually worth playing with that stupid expensive gaming rig of yours.

Why even have such a beastly gaming rig if the only games you can be proud of playing are cheap-ass indie games with outdated graphics? Why even bother showing off your powerful amazing gaming rig if the games aren't optimized for PC anyway?

It's pretty much normal to have like 90% of negative steam reviews these days be due to some irrelevant technical fault than anything to do with the game itself. It's becoming a very sad trend and yet people continue with this hilarious 'Master Race' idea.

And to get this straight, I'm not even a console gamer. I never play on consoles, only on PC. But this is something just so stupid I find amazing how people still keep up with this 'PC is superior' mindset.

Because a "bad PC port" just means it's not up to PC standards, since even the worst PC ports are far superior to their console counterparts.

yeah, if you consider bad stuttering throughout gameplay and crashes as superior to console counterparts that play normally.

oh but granted, given how self-entitled and nitpicky certain PC gamers are, these are probably peeps that tried maxing out the game with too high settings then later complain about FPS drops from their glorious 200 fps to 100 fps like it's the end of the world and the game is suddenly unplayable to them.

I should probably post this on the PC board. But the minute I do that, I'll instantly be labelled as a 'troll' and called out for 'troll bait' since that's how sensitive, illogical and too far up their ass the PC community is.

idk, I can see how this is a problem for those who buy every game new at $59.99 but I usually wait a year or two for a good sale and get the game after it's already been patched (either officially or with a mod) and includes all the DLC, so even a supposedly 'bad port' is fine by the time I get to it.

Developers know that their main source of income is most likely not going to be on PC unless they are doing digital only. They don't have to optimize for PC until probably what, 6 months out? They'll make all their full price sales on console and ensure those games are working well, and then patch the PC copies because arguably, half the potential sales will only happen when Steam does a deep cut on them anyways.

many people just buy a game on steam, play for less than an hour, then write some stupid negative review before refunding it. I didn't know you can judge games that easily but it sure skews the scores to such absurd lengths.

Love my gaming computer. Everything plays flawlessly except the new Wolfenstein. I have the bug where the game crashes when I try to change the resolution. Other than that it's an a great machine. Currently playing Evil Within 2 and it's fun! :D
