If you had to put a percentage around how much of success/fulfillment is about personal choices and socioeconomic factors, what would it be? 50/50? 75/25? What about for minorities in particular?

Depends on how you qualify success.

Trump could have rested on his laurels and not done anything with his life, and still been a multi-millionaire. But he didn't, and I think people don't give him credit for growing that nest egg. At the same time, he could not have built his empire without starting on 3rd base like he did.

I feel that everyone has a certain amount of potential for greater success, and that is multiplied by whatever place you start from.

I guess success in a narrower sense. Like you make enough money to support your family, put away for retirement etc... I guess the definition middle-upper middle class. Also success in n the sense that if you have the ambition, whether youll have the opportunities to succeed or not.
