I googled it and it's apparently not as dumb as I anticipated. It's based on a true story and (just going by the article I read) seems to be more about her making the choice to do porn rather than take massive amounts of debt or work a shitty minimum wage job that'll barely dent her tuition payments.

When she's finally outed, she points out that people are shaming her for being a porn star, but not the dude that discovered her on a hardcore porn site.

It's pretty heavy on the men = pigs themes. Guess that's kind of hard to avoid when making a movie about the porn industry though

I'm kind of enjoying this in a non-ironic way. It has some good messages about sexuality

This kinda issue particularly bothers me because the commercialized college system in the US is a huge scam ($100,000 to get a glorified piece of toilet paper that neither guarantees you a job nor a career in your particular major, be it STEM fields or otherwise like business? What a huge travesty) and all it does in the long run is cripple the economy because if you keep the population stupid, you set all kinds of research back for decades.

Also the fact that mainstream American porn is disgusting and I don't understand how American men get off to a woman being slapped around and seeing a guy jerk himself on her face.
