Neegan kills Glenn?

Or when Neegan makes Rick go grab an axe or something? Was that the same episode?

Same episode. 7x01 I think. Totally should have been the S6 finale IMO, they killed all suspense they had been building up.

Kinda like foreplay and no fucking finish.

oh, so that's who died, I gave up like middle of second season, but that was like a big deal for a millisecond about who was gonna get it.

It was better as a season opener. The finale for season 6 was good just the way it was.

What I think they should have done was show them killing Abraham at the end of S6, giving people their payoff plus some time to process it over the break, and started S7 with the eye-popping surprise of 'oh, by the way, Glenn too!', catching the audience completely off-guard.

That would have been fine too.

At first I was gonna say the season 6 finale but then I remembered they copped out and didn't show anything until season 7 lol. What a terrible show

I didn't mind the season 6 finale so much, but I found season 7 to be hugely disappointing. At this point I just want the whole Neegan and Saviors storyline to be done.

I dunno, the last episode I watched was the fake out death they pulled in the middle of season six. It felt like they were relying on stunts to keep the audience interested rather than telling a good story, and the Negan cliffhanger certainly reinforced that.

Even beyond that, though, I just got a little weary of the shows nature. Theres just no hope, everything is terrible and there is no possibility of that changing. Its just a slow march towards the next main character death. I didnt think I would enjoy watching another two, four, ten, or however many seasons of that.

I LOVED the season 6 finale, and I'm sad most people didn't like it. It's a cliffhanger done right: it ends at exactly the moment all hope is lost, thematically sealing the season.

Just finished S7. The ending to it was super cheesy. It felt rushed and incredibly stupid. It's no wonder the viewership plummeted going into S8.

The opening of S5 was the best imo. That shit was intense.

It's a real shame because the comic is great. Andrew Lincoln is the best actor on that show hands down, but the writing is just awful. I'm guilty of watching it, but when I take the fan goggles off, holy shit it is just bad.

Oh, and not that it bothers me, but it amazes me how cable television allows Negan to talk about his dick all the time but he can't drop an F bomb. Seriously? And didn't Merle get away with the N word in S1?

I'm a fan of the comics, and for a long time I loved the show. But it jumped the shark at the Glenn dumpster scene for me. I legit thought he died, which would have not only been a shocking death but the fact that no one else would know would add something that twd hasn't done yet.... which is the audience knowing someone died but not the cast. Plus it would have added legit tension to the negan cliffhanger. But the way they did it ruined both.

Since then, the bad cgi deer/tiger, the bmx pads=plot armor, the corny dialogue, the inexplicably bad decisions made by the characters, the poorly choreographed gun fights, and most of all, them damn garbage pail kids has just made it impossible to take twd seriously anymore. I kept waiting for it to get good again and now it's beyond redemption.

I disagree I think only Abraham should have been killed in the last episode of Season 6 making us all sigh in relief that Glenn was still alive. Then come 7x01, Daryl punches Neegan and BAM Glenn dies.

Yeahthe writing is pretty terrible, which is a shame because the directing is fantastic. I think that show has some of the best directors on tv. But man the characters / writing is so bad

I haven't watched in like 2 or 3 seasons but it only follows it very loosely, and they make some major changes every now and then.
