I'm honestly more excited for official vanilla servers than BFA but I'll play both as long as there aren't two separate subscriptions.

Maybe if classic wow had changes that made sense like dual spec or adjusted prices for swapping specs (ie like 3-5 gold tops)

"hey main tank grats on getting this leftover 2 hander, just make sure you farm TEN hours to afford the 100 gold bill EVERRY SINGLE TIME you want to go arms and have some fun in pvp. Oh and don't forget the fact that you have to relearn and repay gold to obtain your shield slam again after respeccing, oh and remember to adjust your skill bar again cause the auto-saving skill bar setup per spec wasn't implemented till WoTLK"

yeah.

also 90% of all PVE players will be alliance with dwarf priests and paladins, 90% of pvpers will be undead with 5 second WoTF and 25% stun resist(40% for certain class) orcs. it'll be a trainwreck after the nostalgia factor's done.

I remember I wanted my epic mount so badly that I sold the gear I was wearing to be able to afford it lol

I definitely do not miss not being able to solo as a prot warrior while questing

So its MoP 2.0...shoehorned faction war, our order hall leader characters are suddenly subject to the whims of faction leaders again for some reason, and then we unite once we realize who the real threat is...

I mean, I loved MoP for the most part...but man is this straight up lazy storytelling, IMO.

I reached 60 in May of 2006...I started the character in June of 2005. Had something like 35 days /played when I dinged 60.

I got my epic mount at 67...in like July 2008.

I spent a lot of time socializing and exploring.

Yeah curious to see what asspull excuse they come up with for that.

Probably that neither the Horde nor the Alliance did it but both are convinced the other did.

That just makes it harder, not impossible.

Jaina probably does it to lure the alliance into a war. She is a dreadlord, after all.

I would actually love this idea tbh.

She lures the night elves away from Teldrassil on some excuse, so there are little to none of them left there. She sets fire to the island herself (she's tried wiping out Org with a tidal wave, a fireball at a dead tree would be easy) and blames the Horde. This motivates Anduin to finally go to war which is what she's wanted for three expansions. Given her dad's attitude towards the Horde, we can assume her mom might feel the same way. So maybe the entire thing is her mom's idea, giving Jaina a little bit of moral leeway and meaning Blizzard could maybe still call her a "conflicted good guy."

This also explains why the two factions are suddenly at war without blaming either one for idiotic instigation.

In Mists of Pandaria, Garrosh kicked things off by nuking Theramore with a giant mana bomb, powering it up with the Focusing Iris. In retaliation, Jaina nearly destroys Orgrimmar with a tidal wave, but Kalecgos and Thrall manage to talk her down. Rhonin is killed in the Theramore nuking, so Jaina becomes the leader of the Kirin Tor. Despite her feelings about Garrosh's Horde, she maintains Dalaran's neutrality...and then the Sunreaver blood elves utilize Dalaran's portal network to sneak Horde forces into Darnassus to steal a recovered Pandaren artifact called the Divine Bell. Enraged, she begins purging Dalaran of its blood elf population. Those who surrender are imprisoned, those who resist are killed. Garrosh later uses the Divine Bell to begin powering up his troops, but Anduin is able to shatter it. Garrosh attacks and leaves him for dead, pissing Jaina off even more.

To put the cherry on the sundae, when both factions unite to fight the Legion on the Broken Shore, Sylvanas is forced to retreat with her forces which means the Legion can advance on the Alliance force that's attacking Gul'dan and the portal. This forces the Alliance to retreat as well, but Gul'dan summons a fel reaver that grabs their airship. Varian stays behind to fight it off and he's killed, something Jaina (and Greymane) blame Sylvanas for.
