I'm trying to put a real person's head on an NES box art style picture's body. And so the head/neck of the real photo is a little different shade than the body of the NES art. What's the best way to seamlessly blend the two tones so it looks the same?

The head and the body are currently two separate layers and it looks like I'll need to do some kind of color adjustment or filter. If I do the gradient it just does a solid fill, and eliminates any of the texture of the two parts.
