They've gotten really fond of it this generation and these trailers are usually shown off years before release and tell you nothing about the game. Sony does realize they're marketing video games right?

The Shadow of War commercial just has a guy saying an orcs name and them showing less than 5 seconds of the actual game

It seems like a problem with most AAA games. Sony has easily been the worst with it this generation. Microsoft has done it a few times but no where near as many Ubisoft did it with that Pirates game but IIRC they generally show off a gameplay demo EA doesn't really do it that I can think. Same here. It really speaks for the developers when they believe in their minds that the consumer only cares about cgi cutscenes.

They've done this with;
- The Order 1886 - First two trailers for Uncharted 4 - First two trailers for The Last of Us: Part Two - Spider-man - Death Stranding (two or three trailers now? Still have no idea what this game is supposed to be) - Ghost of Tsushima - Detroid: Become Human I'm probably missing some?
