It would be like having a perfect mixture of Skyrim with the atmosphere and difficulty ramp of Dark Souls!

That's exactly what King's Field was. Those games were so immersive (even on PS1 and PS2), I would absolutely love to see what From Software could pull off on a modern console with that style of gameplay.

they were neat, but a lot of the difficulty cane from complete random bs that you had no real way of knowing would completely screw you over and make you restart the game if you missed it.

It's true that the originals haven't aged well. KF2 on PS1 and The Ancient's City on PS2 were the best of the bunch. (Both the KF1 released in the US, and the original KF only released in Japan were brutal, and cheap) The control scheme was competent enough at the time, but it would play FAR better on a modern control style.

That's why I think From Software could pull off a really good game on current systems. If they smoothed out the controls (more like Skyrim, and less like Dark Souls), and beefed up the atmosphere (more like Dark Souls, and less like Skyrim) you'd have a potentially-awesome mashup!

Lol..., seeing that there were indeed rats in King's Field (and they were hard to target, and felt cheap each time they damaged you), your post still made sense.

i thought part 4 for ps2 and enteral ring was pretty good but every game pior was so slow and boring. music was dull. The sound effect were to echo-y. The frame rate was poor. Your sword swings were way to slow and you have no clue what you were suppose to do.
