Poll of the Day > getting my hair cut for the first time in over 3 years today.

Why? I have a job interview tomorrow and the woman said i dont need a haircut as long as it looks neat and orderly, which my hair generally does(after all it is fabulous and amazing), but I figure it would make it easier on myself and get it cut because while it is neat and orderly, it can still be all over the place

Now it will still be long, but perhaps not long enough like it is now where I could kill somebody with it

You should trim it regularly to keep you hair healthy anyway

ive never trimmed it before. I was told to trim it a tad to repair split ends or whatever but I was always fearful they wouldnt do it right and cut off inches.

i dont know.

Just think the hair you keep will be so much more healthy and beautiful now after the cut

This is why a lot of men with long hair end up looking scraggly. No trims and no regular treatment to keep hair in great shape

Sometimes you do have to trim inches but the more you trim the more your hair is going to want to grow

Doesn't have to be that often but at least 2 times a year and you're still at a net growth

hair care? washed my hair around 6, sometimes 7 days a week with shampoo and conditioner. I dont know shit about shampoo and conditioner but I dont use cheap shit. Generally stuff for moisture or whatever.

Uhh in addition to that I mainly air dryed my hair. Well i'd use a hair dryer for a minute or two, but outside of that i'd just let it sit. cue taking a shower an hour before i did anything so it had time to dry off.

but no special products or creams or anything.

I picked the "landscape" setting on my camera because my hair is as vast as the appalachains, but i guess it toned it down.

Well at least you condition. I mean like oil treatments, deep conditioning weekly, or how do you dry. Air dry can lead to a lot of breakage if you sleep on it when wet but sounds like you got the basics!

i dont know about styling but i think it will just be a cut for length.

Now after this cut, if i get the job(at a bank) i will just let it grow and grow until somebody yells at me. Although I should be fine if its neat and orderly but with this length its just not possible to keep it perfect.

I've actually had people mad about my hair, though never "man" enough to say it to my face. Like one customer complained about my hair to another employee where i work at now a few years ago and he told me and i rofled.

You shouldn't wash your hair every day. Conditioning everyday is fine, but I suggest washing only a few times a week at most.
