Yes, even with the hype surrounding Stranger Things 2, nothing else really touches this perfectly executed satire. I highly recommend, especially if you like modern true crime shows.

I love Jimmy Tatro and he crushes the role but I think the writing misses the mark. I only watched halfway but it's sooooo slow and has too much serious non-joke exposition. I might finish it but I dunno. It would be great if it just had more jokes/absurdity, like the episode with the dude lying about the blowjob.

If it's too absurd I think it would lose some of the punchiness of the satire though. And it's a genuinely interesting mystery on top of that.

Yeah I feel like the first few episodes lean harder into the absurd just to get you on board in the first place. Eventually you realize that it's not really that much of a comedy which works better I think. They have to take it seriously so it isn't just a 4 hour dick joke.

The trailers I've seen just make it look like it leans very hard into the fluffy feel good territory despite it's somewhat dark premise.

GLOW is a little inconsistent at first but by the end it's up there. I think it could make the leap in season 2 the way BoJack did
