I've already beaten the main story, though I suppose the appeal is thoroughly exploring each of the kingdoms and getting all of the Moons there.

I did love the part where Bowser sicced a goddamn dragon on Mario, though. That dragon looked so out-of-place in a Mario game. And since when did Bowser's Castle have such a Japanese theme in its design?

Currently rocking the Mario 64 outfit in the Mushroom Kingdom.

The exploration is definitely key. There's so many possibilities because they added the ability to capture enemies and some characters and become them.
