South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Friday that if Republicans don't pass tax reform, then Democrats will take back the House of Representatives and attempt to impeach President Donald Trump.

"Well, I think all of us realize that if we fail on taxes, that's the end of the Republican Party's governing majority in 2018," Graham said on Fox News Radio's "Kilmeade and Friends." "We'll lose the House, probably lose ground in the Senate and President Trump has got a profile different from the party -- there's kinda two or three different Republican Parties now, I guess. But we're all in it together."

I can't say I have any amount of confidence at all in the Republican base to recognize the tax cuts for what they are. The only people the GOP are worrying about in this instance are their corporate donors.

I don't think tax cuts will even be something the base will be receptive too.
There will be a few people happy that something big passed, but when there's no trickle down and it's a repeat of the Bush cuts that they later reversed, the base will not play ball. Trump's approval rating keeps on going down, there's no need for impeachment when they can keep in power and reap the rewards in 2020.
I honestly expect the House to flip in 2018 and the Senate and White House to do so in 2020.

The DNC is the one who be at blame here, not the socialists.

And it's a non-issue anyway. The hatred for Trump will cause all kinds of apathy for Republican voters and will cause a surge in anyone Center or Left to go out and vote against the Republican party. 2018 will be a win for Democrats no matter what.

I wonder how long it took Lindsey Graham to realize he just admitted that Republican representatives have abdicated their responsibilities for political gain.

I sure hope so. Hopefully the general public sentiment is different than the admittedly small bubble of leftists I see on Twitter, reddit, etc.
