When you're playing Super Mario Odyssey, just remember that its not like other games. The level design is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to the details to even remotely understand it. I remember collecting a couple different Moons in Sand Kingdom (I forget which), where I thought the platforming was absolute bollocks during the first playthrough. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the level had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way Mario could just become something so different when you take a look into the level design.

Another thing you should note about Odyssey is that it's easy to get a headache playing it. Not because its a bad game, but because of how many ideas the worlds are riddled with and how complex they are. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just look like static to you. Just turn it off and give it a whirl the next day.

If you don't like the platforming gameplay, you'll definitely at least enjoy trying on all Marios different costumes and picking apart the design and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

8.8/10

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. Theres also Ricks nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that theyre not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldnt appreciate, for instance, the humour in Ricks existential catchphrase Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenevs Russian epic Fathers and Sons. Im smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmons genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. Its for the ladies eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that theyre within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I saw Shigeru Miyamoto at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, Oh, like youre doing now?
I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
