Doesn't it freak out your bank or hurt your credit score or something to make a bunch of transfers like that? Or it might only be the other way around (from savings to checking)

What if the cost of eating at home exceeds the fast food?

It typically doesn't if you cook and don't buy processed TV dinners and the like.

I could eat for a week on $25 bucks with chili, rice, milk, and teriyaki/stirfry sauce. It's not hard. Rice cooks easy. Chili has you throw a bunch of stuff in a crock pot (after cooking the beef, but beans are healthier). Milk is a super amazing drink.

And eggs.

It's not fuuuuun, but it isn't as bad for you as a lot of stuff is. Throw in some chicken every now and then, and you have a full thing to survive on.

Sounds like a good habit. I've heard some of people say that micro-paying bills like student loans weirdly scratches the same itch as spending money on frivolous things

it doesnt. The initial grocery purchase costs more than 1 fast food meal. but it lasts a lot longer than one meal

Can confirm. But I say it feels MUCH better

The last expensive thing I bought was... my new work clothes? And they cost me about 80 something?

I've been trying to pay off my loans in increments of $500+ every month. It's really satisfying seeing those interest payments dwindle with each payment. I'm planning on putting $1000 next month too. The way I see it, I'll be able to finally get rid of those pesky payments hanging over my head so I can finally live and work for myself, and not for a 4 year mistake (outside of friends and my ex)

I've been doing that. For any food out or just wanting to go buy things. I saved up $700 in 3 months between doing that and putting aside a bit every paycheque.

I've been trying to pay my student loans off aggressively too. I hope to be debt free in less than a year
