Miiverse just ended. I barely used it but for some reason it seems pretty sad to see it go. A ton of people seem to be bummed out about it, which bums me out.

It's kind of scary that a lot of our games and digital content is tied into these online infrastructures and there's always a possibility of them being shut down. I know Miiverse is a much different service than something like Xbox Live, but still. Losing functionality sucks.

I think Miiverse being shut down was pretty inevitable with what a flop the Wii U was. At least they let people download their posts. I didn't bother since I only made one drawing and it was shit. I'm more worried about the Wii U eShop going down, but I think they only recently shuttered the Wii shop...

Wait, the Wii shop is still going? That's impressive. And they don't plan to discontinue it until early 2019. Who is even still buying stuff on it

Teddy is officially back and Bradford is officially done. Vikings fans are getting WAY too excited about Teddy being back. They're only seeing themselves up for disappointment.

Miiverse was incredibly silly but man the Switch OS and UI are so boring and lame. I hope they have a successor coming.

I hate the Wii U UI. Because they devoted one screen to that plaza, you have to switch the menu between the gamepad and TV depending on if you want to play Wii or Wii U games. Why wasn't the menu just on both screens

Also, I thought they had some kind of Twitter integration as the successor but they only used it for Splatoon 2 and maybe a couple other things so far. I think people hated it but I don't know much about it

There's Twitter and Facebook integration with the switch, not that I care. I've used it a couple times tho. It's surprisingly not bad.

My friend also entered his FB info into my switch so we could post some really humiliating screenshots if we want

The Wii U UI was definitely incredibly bad. I guess I hadn't really thought about it in a while but you're right about how bad it was with the plaza screen. It was just a weird console in a lot of ways.

The Switch's gets the job done if all you want to do is play whatever game you have. They're short on bells and whistles (even themes would be nice) and it just feels very boilerplate to me. I predicted they would relaunch it on the one year anniversary with a big update and I stand by that prediction

I hate hate hate the switch eShop but every Nintendo eShop so far has been terrible. I guess the Wii U's was the best but I very rarely used it.

The worst one is the 3DS eShop. You can't even filter VC games by original console... or if you can, I still haven't found it yet. But the Switch one is bad too. Don't you have to go through like four menu actions just to find a "browse all" function?

Yeah I only go there if I know there's something that just came out that I want and I can look at the new releases tab. It's a mess. The 3DS one is just unfathomably awful though. Nothing is worse than that.

I thought Teddy was better than average, I do think that fans are setting themselves up for disappointment. He has the potential to be good, but it is too early to get extremely excited like some fans I know have been.

Yeah, injuries have a mental aspect to them. Some players can't get over the fear of possibly having the same injury occur, so they will not play at the level they had before the injury.

The Vikings will be fine. The Packers were the only threat in that division and they're worthless without Rodgers. They can coast to a division title with Teddy B. They were already coasting with freaking Case Keenum

Are any of you still playing Odyssey? I'm in so deep now that I feel like I gotta 100% it no matter what. That's not to say I'm not still enjoying it, but I'm at the point where I'll shamelessly use the in-game hints. I appreciate that the artwork moons and the moons in sub-areas aren't dead giveaways, so it's not completely trivial yet.

You gotta use the hints. I haven't played much in the past few days but I'm not done with it yet.

I have it too. The cashback bonus is actually generous so I'm always getting a few bucks off my orders.

I got it back when it was only 3% back. The email that said it had changed to 5 made me so happy.
