It gets real convoluted and dumb at the end. You find out the new killer rounded up 4 people with the same sins as the first 4 people in the original traps. Made them do the exact same traps with the same results. And then lure his real victim to the death house to get him to confess that he is a crooked cop. He then records it and reveals he is the killer before killing the cop. Making the whole confession and recording thing a moot point.
