I have my nemesis exactly where I want them: tied to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. I'm too busy to finish them off so I'll leave a couple of henchmen to do it.

I loved how Scott Evil in the Austin Power movie was suggesting what many of us would be yelling at the screen when we see evil villains make this common mistake.

Of the day? Huh... its almost like thats been done for over a half century of film making.

Maybe this is going to be an ongoing series of topics, listing one common trope each day.

I fucking hate the kid/lady who doesn't stay still and they royally fuck everything up for everyone i.e the girl from Dawn of the Dead and her fucking dog.

I was just watching Solomon Kane the other day I was fucking happy the little shit got his throat slit

After being grievously wounded in the left arm, slumped and sliding against the wall I slowly make my way down a corridor, leaving behind a bright bloody trail.

You could take the first post further with: Heroes beaten to brink of death pathetically lying on the floor completely helpless and the villain goes, "That's all, bitches! I'm out!" and teleports away leaving heroes to fight another day.

At least in the first example they bother to leave some trashy henchmen. Here, they just cut and run because reasons, and by that I mean the writers were to fucking lazy o come up with a better out.
