He's been doing stuff online for like literally 27 years and most of it has been good.

I thought it was a really good return to form.

I feel like a lot of recent episodes (from the last few years) have been pretty meh. Like he has a hard time doing AVGN now that's he's a dad in his 30's or something. A lot of the scripts have been verging on just trying to capture that old AVGN vibe but not really accomplishing as much. And I don't appreciate how he started on-purposely going out of the AVGN character into just James Rolfe for minutes at a time IN AN AVGN EPISODE over the last few years. All that being said, they've still been good compared to most content creators' output over time.

But recently something's happened. Been a very good year for AVGN. And he's been releasing more episodes recently. Maybe he found his groove again.

This whole episode is pretty shaky though considering that Ahoy proved that it was made up by the guy that first posted about it on that arcade website that AVGN mentioned in the video.

I knew I recognized that guy at the end.

He's like an infomercial legend here in Pennsylvania. I remember his commercials/infomercials from the early 2000's. He had such a unique voice.

I'm disappointed that it's another Halloween skit like last year. I'd rather that he made an episode out a thematically appropriate game. He could have done Ghost House, the game from the most recent episode of James & Mike Mondays, or something of that nature.

That said, it was really funny for what it was.
