When I was a kid, my nephew who was like 2 years old something, found scissors, they were solid metal scissors.

My sister was vacuuming and suddenly heard a bang and and there was a blackout. Then she saw my nephew at the cord by the vacuum cleaner with scissors in his hands and the cord cut.

He was totally fine, but the electricity had burnt a hole in one of the blades of the scissors.

He was lucky he didn't get any electricity in him, no idea how he never got any in him considering the scissors were all metal.

The only time I've ever experienced anything like this was when I was the "guardian angel."

When I was 17, I was hanging out with some people in a friend's backyard. I got really anxious about being there for some reason and told everyone we should go somewhere else. No one wanted to leave, so I offered to buy a couple of pizzas at the Little Ceasar's around the corner and that convinced them. We were walking through the front yard and heard this loud crack and boom. We went into the backyard and saw a big chunk of this dead oak tree laying right where we were all sitting. The trunk was bigger around than a grown man's torso and it had all these other thick limbs sticking out of it that dug pretty deep into the ground. Had we still been sitting there, someone probably would have died.

Everyone just stared at me like wtf and I was pretty freaked out myself. I tried to rationalize that maybe I picked up on it making some forewarning sound or noticed that it was dead and was about to break but I honestly had no clue. It wasn't windy or anything and I've been around plenty of dead trees, so it's not like I was afraid of that happening (although now I am). I just in general had a really bad feeling about being there.
