Obviously his given reason of it being a preemptive strike was bogus, he killed the man via home invasion at 3am. Was it really about the insurance policy / record label fiasco?

I've only heard record label absorption, a woman (unnamed, weakness rumor) and a rivalry in the black metal scene. But the last one I doubt the most since it was the murder that fractured the scene into a million pieces.

Huh?

Artist of Burzum killed a guy by driving like fucking ten hours to his house, invaded at 3am, and killed him hard. Says it was because he was planning on killing him first which is hilariously bogus. Such a lame defense that he was blown out in trial and spent a ton of time in jail for it.
