I love the 6p but the battery is dying and I don't really want to replace it.

Try out a note first. The size can be off-putting to some people and the curved edge (I dunno if that's standard for all note 8s or if it's a special version) kind of sucks for accidentally hitting things and for games that use the full screen for things.

Hmm didn't think about that. I've been watching reviews of it but to be honest I don't have any games on my phone. Mostly podcasts, pictures, and taking notes for work.

Just hold your current phone in your hand, and imagine that any part of your hand running along the edge could possibly register false positives. I think it's bad enough that the phone has a setting to disable edge detection entirely.
