Eh, Terra has been flying under the radar for a little while now, mostly because she's rarely hanging on at the end of rounds anymore, unlike Eiko who almost always got a final rush bailout before today.

I guess that's to be expected when all the big VI names get killed off aside from Celes

Hate is probably the wrong word for how I feel about Cecil. It's more like basically everyone and everything about IV is mediocre at best to me. I need a good cast in an RPG and IV doesn't have that for me. Some of them try, but honestly I have trouble remembering sometimes which nobodies are from IV and which are from bloated VI because most of IV's characters are like Gogo and Umaro level for me aka who really cares

Yeah, but the haters for her have been fairly quiet thus far.

Thankfully she's somehow maybe not even top 5 most hated of all the characters Roba likes in this contest

Basically if Roba likes them and would save them they probably have a vocal contingent that dislikes them out there somewhere.

Yuna hate has died down over the years and is rarely vocalized anymore. She's probably the least hated of all the ones you save, but I know at least a few others here who don't like her.

Ariana is a good contingency plan against another repeat winner, if the finals come to that, but otherwise I have no opinion about her

And there's a difference between a joke character and a joke winner. Dangerous Ariana isn't a joke character, and neither is Marche. Marche was a joke winner though.

I don't think she's hated for being Mary Sue-like. She's hated for being incredibly dull, "what is love" and maybe also FFVI spoilers (doubt we even need these for such a topic, but just in case) literally deciding saving orphans is more important than the world when said orphans would die anyways if she didn't save the world. Sure she eventually shows up, but it makes her look bad when you think about it!

Really though it's the boring factor. It's like she was a female Vaan before he was even a character

Yeah, you guys are pretty good at hiding the hate. Keep it up!

Terra has plenty of character, she grapples with her past, her parents, and the things she did or had done to her. Terra and the orphans was also a top-tier FFVI moment!

Also, I don't really care who wins all that much. It'd be great if a character I really like wins, but I have enough fun running this contest as is. The journey, not the destination.

I had to adopt that mentality after years of things I like never winning site contests...!
