Some of the ice levels were kinda tough but overall it wasn't that bad to me. I guess it's true that it was harder than Super Mario World, but the earlier Mario games are all much harder.

Theres a couple of tricky levels, but overall it's pretty easy. I agree DKC2 was a bit more challenging but overall the series is pretty easy.

Its easy to beat but hard to 100% imo

climbing the ropes while countless birds come at you in that one stage was tough but overall the first one is very fair

the second has some cheapass levels like the racing ones in the thorns where you're that stupid bird smh

when I was a kid I couldn't get past the fifth world (the one with those factory levels).
now it's not so bad except for the last few levels.

The first one was fine

The 2nd one had a pretty noticeable difficulty spike from the 4th world onwards if you weren't good at finding the hidden animal buddies

It's one of those games where thinking too much messes you up. Taking it slow is not a good idea.

Also, the art style messes you up sometimes. It's not clear where a rendered ledge actually ends, meaning you have to anticipate it rather than doing it naturally.

I said fuck it and found the hidden barrels that blasts you to the end of the stage LMAO.

The Bonk series was pretty easy. Much slower pace but they was easy as walking around the park.

I always found the DKC games to be fairly difficult. Still easily beatable but compared to other platformers like Mario or Sonic, it takes a bit more skill. I'm counting the recent Retro-made DKC games as well.

Edit: Also platformers easier than Mario? Kirby.
