What the heck is this 80 80 nonsense. Anyone encounter this issue of Amazon refusing to ship electronics?

I got a dang raspberry pi in my May Amazon order, and some networking stuff just a few months before that. Now I just want one Bluetooth speaker. When I attempt to check out Amazon tells me my address is no good. It's the same with any electronics that I've tried.

There's no electronics store where I live and Amazon has been my go to gosh Amazon Canada is not my friend today

contact them and ask why?

idk, maybe a lot of theft got reported in your area for electronic items or something so now they just don't do it

I'm going to when I'm home, it's a little frustrating. Maybe they just don't want my money.

The only difference is I got prime a couple weeks ago. I would hope that has no impact.

It usually has something to do with air shipping batteries. like they cant ship something with a fixed battery unless its an iphone or something.

You're probably right on that count. But I don't understand how they could still prime deliver to, say, a street address and not my PO Box. Must be sent courier or something. We don't even have ups or FedEx here so maybe I'm just screwed

Could you modify your address to the same address by spelling something out. (don't change your cc address just your delivery address.) So if you had Ave. you could spell out Avenue or if you had St. you could spell out Street and so on. It would make their computer see that as a different address without it being different.

Nah I think it's just that they won't ship to a PO box. I tried doing the post office flex delivery (which sends mail to the post office with a faux PO box) and that address is also rejected. I don't have a street address to get mail to. Amazon hasn't answered yet but I believe that guy was correct with the internal battery idea. I have had electronics with batteries shipped but they have all been removable.

Thanks for the suggestion though

Post office in the area? I've had Amazon deliver directly to the post office itself when I knew I wouldn't be home for a while. Then just picked it up when I got back.

Otherwise yeah, just contact them and see what's up.

Flex delivery doesn't work for the items either, I signed up for it to try it out

See if there's an Amazon Locker near you and if they'll deliver to that.

I've never heard of it but looks cool. They don't have anything like that here
