He was an invader and a douche.

Whereas Trump is ginning up hate against Muslims and immigrants to cover for his plutocratic agenda, W. did the same thing, only with LGBT. Appealing to the homophobia of conservative voters to try and win support for social security privatization or tax cuts.

Bush was a precursor to Trump. The anti-intellectualism, the distrust of the "liberal" news, the unilateralism, the stoking of culture wars to cover for a plutocratic agenda, all were typical of Bush's time in office. You can draw a straight line from B to T.

Back then people who fought for gay marriage were public enemy #1. Today it's "SJW's." It's not any fucking different.

Liberals, stop getting the warm fuzzies over W. He was an asshole.

Just like they despised McCain but now they like him. Just like how they despised Romney but now they like him.

The liberal news outlets gets them to hate people but then when they're in the rear view mirror, the coverage becomes positive in order to make the current guy look worse and they can ask why oh why can't he be like these others??

Has there been revisionism? I've mostly seen people either saying:

A) Trump's so bad that they'd be fine with Bush as president again just to show how bad they think Trump is by comparison, and
B) Even the terrible president that was Bush is criticizing how awful Trump is even based on their conservative metrics.

No. He's just a war criminal who sold the world a raft of lies about WMD in order to enact a neocon agenda in Iraq and enrich American oil companies. Which got a million Iraqis killed and ultimately created ISIS. Then there's Abu Ghraib, torturing prisoners, and retribution against critics like Valerie Plane's husband. On top of an anti-LGBT agenda. But he's not "A terrible human being" or anything.

Bush was a terrible president and a terrible human being.

The majority of criticism against him during his administration is against his handling of 9/11 where we get bombed by militant forces from Afghanistan and retaliate against... Iraq... because, honestly, I feel like he was just trying to finish what his father started.

Very few people talk about the worst parts of his presidency such as the banning of Stem Cell research and banning of human cloning research. He was a very anti-science president. He fought pretty hard against gay rights as well.

Anyway, while Bush was a terrible president and a terrible human being, he was probably a good friend if you knew him personally.

If you're one of Trump's friends, you can tell how much he likes you by counting the number of knives sticking out of your back.

Hahaha yep. I'll never forget how awful McCain got portrayed during the 2008 election. Family Guy had an episode where Brian and Steele go back to Nazi Germany, complain about fighting for oil in that time for some reason, and showed Nazi soldiers supporting McCain/Palin for the 2008 election.

The 1 million figure (the highest is 600,000) is an estimate based on unreliable surveys. The official death toll is 100,000 (as in, bodies counted).

Assad's persecution of his own people which plunged the country into Civil War is what actually created ISIS.
