Gamer99z 10/22/17 2:44:04 AM #1:	The surge protector was useless, lightning struck right outside and my PC shut off and almost right away I smelled fried electronics, the PSU was really warm as well. With my luck it took the motherboard and more along with it. I'm gonna pick up a cheap Corsair tomorrow and see if it boots but fuck my my life. The best part is I had important things on there that were only partially backed up because I had filled my main backup external HDD and I have another one being delivered on Monday. How fun. Well my broke ass is going without a PC for awhile. The city I live in requires rental insurance and while I'm not 100% certain something like this qualifies, you might be able to get your entire rig replaced depending on how favorable the deductible is. And IIRC, they base reimbursement off of what you spent on the components at the time, not the obviously depreciated value from being a few generations old.
