In today's society, it's socially unacceptable to degrade a person for their ethnicity, disability, handicaps, ugliness, etc - and you know why? Because it's something they had no control over. However, with short males it's still acceptable and even encouraged to ridicule, laugh at, mock, and literally and figuratively look down upon them. Short women refuse to date short men, taller men treat them like little kids, and they're less likely to be hired over taller males. People look at dwarfism as a genetic defect, people look at manlets as a flaw of character.

I'm a 5'8 manlet, the average American College girl my age would never date me solely for that reason. I might as well be a ghost, even 12-year-old girls nowadays are taller. Every time I go outside I feel humiliated, I notice their disappointed glances the moment they notice my height. My face is not hideous, I am not unfit, it's all because of my height. I am a permanent little boy in their eyes all because of something I couldn't control. I was inferior the moment I was conceived. I can't even workout without being criticized for "compensating". If you want any shred of hope of making it as a short male you need to be in a position of power/influence aka talented, rich, and famous like Kendrick Lamar, Tom Cruise, Thom Yorke, etc.

What's funny is that 4'11 women will date the 6'0+ jock and have a manlet son, the very thing she despised. Then she'll tell him not to worry, that there's someone out there for him. Short people should be banned from having kids so the endless cycle of torment can be brought to an end. Fortunately people seem to be getting taller on average, so hopefully, my kind will be bred out through natural selection. Sucks for me though, I'm gonna die alone.

There isn't much you can do about it. You just have to accept it, you don't have any control over it.

You are right though. Most girls I know wouldn't date a really short guy. It's not really fair, but it's true. My family is really tall, my mom, grandma, and aunt are all over 5'10". My dad is 6'3" and my grandpa is 6'5". I am 6'2" my girl friend is 5'1". I kind of went short compared to everyone else.

My advice is to find a tall girl and try to breed some height back into your bloodline.

And I'm 5'10 and for an Asian that's pretty tall

Just, I could've been taller. All my paternal cousins are taller, including a female one. My parents never sent me swimming and that's the single greatest thing that hampered me

What does swimming have to do with your height?

I can see diet having an effect. My family are 3rd or 4th generation beef farmers, and you can see the protein diet in all of us. Even the women are over 6ft. But I don't see anyway swimming has an effect on height.

I did not know this. Apparently all sports can make you taller, swimming is just extra effective at it. I played every sport except swimming, now I wish I had. I might be 6'5" if I had.

Not all sports, I don't think. Football (soccer) doesn't increase height but basketball does, etc

5'10" is fine. You could say you are 6ft and most people would buy it. Once you get 5'8" and below I would say you are short, sorry to tc.

He's been in some of the greatest movies ever made. The camera angles does make him look taller, but the man has confidence in the way he acts, the way he talks and the way he walks.

I've seen men even shorter than Tom Cruise get dates with relative ease. It's all about self-belief.
