22 y/o Singer and Model Justine Skye joined athletes, singers and celebrities across the country and KNEELED after she sang the national anthem at an NBA Brooklyn Nets game..but after she finished, though there were some cheers, the majority of the crowd BOOED her!!

She posted the performance on her instagram and described that she was shaky at the end and was uneasy singing the anthem as she knows she won't ever be invited again but she took a knee to let her voice heard and won't be silenced despite conservawhackos stating otherwise.

As required by NBA rules, players have to remained standing during the anthem but it was reported that the Nets did lock arms who eventually beat Orlando Magic of 126 to 121.

Trump is still hammering the NFL for kneeling players as the NFL is fighting back against Trump and are continuing to kneel during the anthem.

Whatever their "noble cause," it's such a two-faced action to agree to sing the anthem, then disrespect it. Fuck her and her beauty.

The first amendment doesn't apply to paid guests. If you sign an agreement saying you won't do something, you forfeit your right to do that thing. With or without an agreement, it's the host's discretion whether or not to have someone removed from a platform. If a person is at a political convention, and they start blasting the party they're supposed to be sticking up for, they're going to have the feed to their microphone cut and security is going to escort them out of the building.

If you think that the first amendment means saying whatever you want without repercussions, try saying "fuck you" to your boss while you're at work.

Have you ever gone to work and realized that you forgot to put deodorant on? Or have you had a lunch that you meant to take with you, but you left it in the fridge? Obviously, something like the Las Vegas shooting carries with it an immeasurably greater weight. But getting halfway to work and realizing you'd forgotten something is more likely to make you grit your teeth and curse.

It's the same thing here. Murder isn't an "ooh, that pisses me off" kind of thing. It's a deep, saddening, emotional blow. That's not to say that I can never again get angry about realizing I forgot to pick up milk at the story or that I can never curse under my breath at a driver who cut me off in traffic.

A flag has a symbolic value. To many people, myself included, the flag represents those who died fighting for it. To me, this is like kneeling in contempt of a soldier's grave. As much as I value the lives of those who were killed unjustly, I can't condone what is tantamount to saying "fuck dead soldiers, but remember those killed by police." One life doesn't rank higher or lower than the other.

Maybe the argument should be made that the kneelers don't see it that way, but that's little excuse because they're aware of its meaning to other people. It's like saying that it's okay for an atheist to disrespect a religious icon because they don't personally see it as having any significant value. A person has a legal right to do that and a person has every moral right to judge them for it. The same applies here.

Although, in my personal opinion, I think organizations such as the NFL and NBA would be wise to exercise their right to enforce certain codes of conduct upon the people who are paid to represent them. Saying that a player has a right to kneel at a game is like saying that the person at the drive-through has a right to say fuck you to a paying customer. I don't expect them to stand. If that's the way you want to operate your business, you're gonna lose some patrons and deservedly so.

For the record, I don't think that standing for the anthem should be mandatory. No one should have to kiss the royal ring if they don't want to. But I don't think that they should be allowed to go out there and actively disrupt the ceremony for others.

If the organizations which hire these people feel that the players and performers should be allowed to disrespect what much of the audience holds dear, then I think anyone who decides to abstain from watching or attending is within their rights as well.
