Not necessarily. FF8 is actually a great example. It was my favorite for personal reasons but I can definitely recognize that FF7 did most things better from a design perspective.

I still think V is better than VI - VI just has the upper hand with the story. V's gameplay >>>>>>> VI BY FAR.

The thing with VII is that it's not perfect, but it was a good game for its time. People are ashamed to vote for it because they want to be a snowflake and don't wanna admit they totally geeked out over it.

Well admit it. Embrace it. Own it. Vote for it.
