??????

Iphone--

+ superior security
+ 3D touch seems useful
+ Great camera
+ Simple interfaces
+ more pocket friendly

- the notch seems really intrusive
- I don't care about face ID, animojis, or portrait photos

Note 8--

+ More customizable
+ Brighter, bigger screen
+ also a great camera

I don't know much else about it. Not sure if I care about the stylus or if I'd need to expand its storage since I doubt I'd exceed 64 GB.

I've really been waffling back and forth about it. Does anybody here have any input?

Can't recommend iPhone X since it's not out yet.

Personally I like the ease of staying within the iOS eco-system. But obviously once you make the jump to android, it shouldn't be too bad once you do switch over.

It's up to you. It's hard to recommend the X cause it's not out yet, but I don't see how the notch is intrusive. Too much has been made of that tbh. If you're using a 5 it'll be a world of difference getting away from the bezels/bars the 5 used to have.

It's actually a competition now because of Apple's dumb decisions to 'innovate' by doing away with the headphone jack.

I don't know, I just can't get over that decision. Other than that, the main question is really security.

The headphone jack is outdated. If you're an audiophile, you want the connectivity Lightning offers. If you're not, Bluetooth will more than suffice and highly convenient.

I went from a 5s to an 8 and it is just better in every conceivable way.

That said, any bigger of a phone and it would be annoying to carry in the pocket of most of my pants. Note 8 I think is just too big for a dude unless you have baggy pants with huge pockets, or carry a manpurse
