Because she has a really wide range of performances, some complete garbage and other Oscar winners.

So are the good performances flukes, or is it the bad ones? Or can she only act when she's got a director who tells her exactly what to do and doesn't really know how to perform naturally?

She's obviously pretty and she comes across as very likeable in interviews but it seems like she takes roles in a lot of mediocre/bad movies.
