You're pressured to play all these games as quickly as you can so you can spit out a review before the game is even out in a lot of cases. You have no time to sit back and enjoy the game. And then everyone attacks you because you gave a game a 7.5 instead of an 8, even though both scores are pretty fine.

You also have to deal with bugs or port issues since there is no day 1 patch.

The problem isn't being rushed through playing games or anything. It's that you could only get a job writing reviews for videogames with your degree =(

that's one of the main reasons I like Giant Bomb so much. Way less emphasis on reviews, they only review the games they are interested in. Instead I can listen to their opinions on the game from their podcast or a Quick Look, and get a much better sense on if I'll like a game or not.
