Its fandom hates the game. Odd, since Im here punching aliens with a gleeful smile.

Imagine being not able to enjoy a game like this. Must be bitter

idk dude, ive put some time into the game and honestly i think it's pretty crappy.

there's practically no actual endgame, no real sense of progress in any way (other than seeing an arbitrary "power level" number go up), and the PvP is bad (would probably feel dated 10 years ago).

The thing is that we've known this for three years now, and Bungie has never done anything to make us think [this] year would be any different from those previous.

I'm actually dumbfounded that people (who maxed out in Destiny 1) still don't understand it.

I got the game like a month late so I haven't gotten bored of it yet. I wasn't really planning to get it after putting so much time into the first, but here I am. Like every good thing I can say about the game has a catch, almost like a lot of these changes were "corrupt a wish" scenarios.

I did end up playing the console beta though, so I was sad to see the Arc staff midair combo gone from the full game even though it doesn't change anything.

Got the game at launch and I've had a blast with it!
All 3 of my characters are 305 light level and I still play it a ton.

I didn't play Destiny 1 so I just went in blind, maybe that was my problem.

To me at least, most of the big problems of the game are not impossible to fix; I think the foundation of the game is alright. A lot of the complaints I see are based on the story,

PvE end, there needs to be more gated content such as hard modes or tough world bosses, so that way your gear score means something and you have a challenge beyond just raiding and other things to work towards. i think a horde mode would be really cool as well. the core mechanics of Destiny 2 are solid so now there just needs to be more endgame content.

PvP I think needs more work. in a lot of ways it kind of feels like a multiplayer game from 15 years ago. you should be able to select game modes, vote on maps, etc. this is basic shit. I think Bungie also needs to look back at their weapon balance and figure something out because all I see are scout rifles and auto rifles, which IMO makes the game pretty dull. it's also kind of lame how power weapons feel so nerfed now, and it's rare to even get ammo for them. basically learn a lesson from the Halo games they made for like 10 years lol

I think people were expecting a korean MMO-level of grind.

I get that Destiny is an "MMO"-FPS, but holding it to MMORPG standards is just asking for disappointment.

I do think they need to eventually introduce level-enabled advantages in some PvP mode, or otherwise introduce more than the prestige raid and nightfalls for 300+ content.

I got a character to 305 and two others that are just one or two pieces away from that as well. I did all the content thus far. I got a solid 100+ hours from the game and it was fun the entire way through. I did the raid blind on launch day. Then it was fun helping friends get through it later on down the road.

May not be revolutionary PvP, but I do enjoy the more Halo-esque pacing relative to the two other shooters I played a lot back in the day (CoD and OW).

The people on the boards who incessantly whine about the game though...there's something off about it. The amount of complaining makes me think they're actually addicted to the game. They bemoan how bad it is, but that's a sign they must have really enjoyed it, they just simply play too much.

I'll probably only log on for a few hours every week or every other week from now on. I binged my "AAA title's" worth and it's only fair that I wait for the DLC to introduce the next amount of new end game content.

It's just too bad it's always online, even for solo play, and that the monty-python geometry bug that looks to add to the entertainment value is considered a "no good cheating hack".

Zelda has the saltiest fanbase.

You should go look at all the fan-rage from Super Mario Odyssey being one point short of perfect at Famitsu.

The whole thing is always 4v4. Changes like HC bloom, Mida high caliber rounds, and shadowshot not suppressing on impact aren't in the game because apparently the main Destiny team doesn't communicate with the live team. Supers take a bit too long to get charged, like I don't think I've ever had more than two in the same match even on my best game.

The one thing that really kills it for me in Destiny 2 is that sticky grenades can't kill people when you stick them, or at least Magnetic didn't for me.

Didn't the first Destiny have 6v6?

Didn't the first Halo have 8v8? ;_;
