It's not perfect, still has terrible AI, but at least the game works now.

It nails the guerilla warfare approach better than any game has, ever. You have to play it like a guerilla too as enemies can kill you in seconds, and there's no health regen whatsoever.

The weapon customization, the shitload of ways to approach each combat engagement, the distractions, the improvised shit. It all makes for s truly fun and unique shooter experience.

I initially played it at launch and had yo stop after a few hours as it was unplayable and broken. I got it on the psnflash sale for 12 bucks and it's awesome. It went from a 3/10 game to a 7.5/10 game. I'm having so much fun with it. It really rewards thinking tactically. And dare I say it, it approaches shooters the way dark souls approached rpgs.

The OG Homefront was some of my fav multiplayer of all time tbh. But it released like a month before that PSN outage and then seemed like it only lasted a few months after that before they shut the servers down.

The game is proof positive that it should have been in the oven another year. The update that fixes the game is 12gb lol.

It's seriously so much fun to plan your approach ahead of time, set up all the pieces, then attack, then keep moving from location to location like a real guerilla so as not to get murdered. Because while the enemy is dumb, on normal difficulty they can kill you in a few hits.

It did a lot of little things right as far as the "CoD formula" shooters go but it just had too many problems for adopters to care.

Yeah it's routinely under 10 bucks on steam sales from what I hear.

Definitely worth a purchase at 10-15 bucks.

If you're curious, on YouTube, look up "homefront the revolution 2017 review". Plenty of vids with updated reviews. Even digital foundry did a video showing it, their video was what initially made me get it on the flash sale.
