I can't imagine it's any more than supertankers or large container ships around the size of the Emma Maresk (Though not Emma herself, she's got green tech in her or something.)

The difference is that supertankers and large container ships are necessary. Cruise ships are not necessary.

Why would people pay a fuckload of money to be stuck on a boat, and there are a shitload of ways you will be nickel and dined on board.

If sickness breaks out, power goes out or nasty storms happen or whatever...well have fun.

It also mentions the air downwind of the funnel, which raises an interesting question, "Do ships need to have the funnel or could we put the exhaust out closer to to the sea?"

Granted, it is the simplest way to do it. Putting it near the waterline could flood the engine and kill the ship. For starters.
