Metal Gear X

Over the 30 years or so following Metal Gear Rising, Dr. Emmerich did research and eventually developed a new type of UG thst can think, feel and make its own decisions. He called it "Snake X." Fearing that it could turn evil, he sealed it away in a capsule for a 30-year test of its reliability.

But Dr. Emmerich did not survive the test because of old age, and X wouldn't be rediscovered until 2160, when it was dug up be a Dr. Thomas. Dr. Thomas thought X was wonderful and copied the design like a trillion times until the world was filled with what he termed "Replicated Gears," or RG's.

But some of the RG's turned evil anyway and mo mere human or cyborg was powerful enough to stop them. So Dr. Thomas made a group of combat RG's (the Rogue Hunters) to deal with those that go evil. He made X a leader of the team, but introduced a mich more powerful RG he named Delta to be the organization's overall leader.

But Delta went evil and it's up to X and his friend Snake Zero to stop him! Zero ends up sacrificing his life to save X from another Rogue Hunter that went evil who rides a manned gear that neither of them can stop otherwise. Then X goes on alone to stop Delta and save the world.

Metal Gear Zero:

A hundred years after the events of MGX, a group of Rogue RG's has taken control of the world and demands total obedience. They are lead by none other than Snake X. A Big Boss clone named Cell Snake goes to great lengths to find the body of Snake Zero to revive him so he can fight against X.

Zero has lost his memory since he died but Cell Snake lets it slip that she was the one who regenerated X. X died when Zero did but this X is a perfect copy. Zero encounters four RG's built to guard "Master X", and defeats each in combat before fighting X himself.

Zero notes that he remembers the real X being stronger, which frustrates the Copy X and Zero defeats him.
