An hour in, just beat Brock.

Team now is:

Pikachu level 10
Pidgey level 11
Nidornan(male) level 12

I tried catching a Mankey but I critically hit it and it fainted.

I want to catch a geodude but I will never get a golem since I have no idea how trading works or who I could trade with. I'll get a rhyhorn eventually.

or let you trade with yourself if you have multiple pokemon versions on one 3ds

I actually had two GBAs and a link cable. That way I could get all the traded evolutions and I'd only use traded pokemon since they'd get the experience boost.

Getting a Moon Stone at Mt. Moon isn't that weird sounding.

Yeah, lol. It evolved into nidorino and the moonstone was just paces away.

I don't think nidoking even has much of a move pool besides double kick back in gen 1. But he is a tm beast, you can teach him earthquake.

I love this game for being in color and for giving us all 3 starters. Makes me wanna replay it just to get a bulbasaur, charmander and squirtle again. So fun.

It's tempting to just catch an Abra and solo the game with a Kadabra/Alakazam that knows psychic, but I resist just to get to use the starters as my main team. Grinding in the diglett cave, does anyone else do that?
