It's one long never ending movie: What's wrong with the good old Star Trek series, where you could watch every episode independent from the other ones?
I'm done with that crap.

That's how every show is these days. They all want to be Game of Thrones.

its different but I enjoy it so far. if you want traditional trek, watch The Orville.

I'm not sure where I stand with other Trek fans, but I'm waiting for the series that takes place post Nemesis.

What happened after the war with the Dominion, and Capt Sisko? What happened with the Voyager crew (with the exception of Janeway's promotion and the aftermath with the Borg? What did Picard and the others go on to do? What about Riker getting his own ship? What about B-4? All unraveled around a new crew and their adventures.

Instead we're getting another prequel in the movie universe.

Agree with all this. I was mildly interested in Discovery until I found out they're doing more prequel bullshit.

Seriously, with the exception of Nemesis, we've been getting prequel filler content for almost 20 years. I don't even need to see direct callbacks to stuff like Voyager, I just want to see the universal plot fucking advance.

Like, imagine if when they announced Star Wars war finally coming back, they revealed it all took place before the prequel trilogy lol.
