Not really getting drunk alone but just drinking at home without anywhere to go or any real plans is kind of liberating every once in a while. I usually don't feel comfortable getting actually drunk in public since I live in a city where you have to literally drive everywhere, so when I'm at home and kick back a few I feel like I can actually get drunk with no worries.

This is a fairly fun activity to do with your partner every once in a while - just get drunk and order in. You save a ton versus a night on the town.

If you actually get drunk ALONE a lot, though, yes, it gets depressing. And beyond doing it a few times a year, you should avoid it.
