Basically we learn Snoke is an ancient evil that feeds off force sensitive beings. He is feeding off Kylo but keeps him alive to find Luke who is the most powerful person in the Galaxy until he discovers Rey.
The movie is about Luke training Rey but then stops as she senses the Rebellion is in trouble but gets captured by Snoke. Luke finally shows up at the end to fight Snoke and is killed willingly before he can be feed upon, he is a force ghost afterwards. --- Jake Peralta: World's Grossest Pervert ... Copied to Clipboard!

When do they reveal that Planet-destroying Sith are not really the bad guys because they need to work together with the Jedi to defeat Snoak?

so it steals the sith emperor from swtor, apprentice abandoning training to save friends from esb, and old master letting himself be killed to become a force ghost from the original
