I might spend $10 a year on lottery tickets. Mostly $2 on the Powerball or mega millions when they're high. This pay period has just been rough. I get paid tomorrow. Maybe I should apply for a credit card...

If it's literally your last dollar, I'd argue that it's not a terrible decision. You're not going to be able to do fuck-all with a dollar and there's a decent chance of getting at least five bucks back.
