This stupid trend needs to die. You play the game and put your funds into this luck based boxes to get what you want. Only problem is they are designed to try to get you to spend money.

Almost every game that does microtransactions that way gives a method of obtaining them through normal play. Just don't buy lootboxes with cash.

I'm a sucker for Madden Ultimate Team but I fully admit you don't have to buy the packs.
Sure, if you want to be competitive and actually have good players in MUT then it behooves you to drop mad money but it is technically feasible through regular MUT play Also you can play regular old H2H with friends and franchise and stuff for the normal entry price --- The name is wackyteen* for a reason.
