I wonder if there's a correlation between plummeting literacy/basic math scores and the rise in social justice warriorism. I've noticed most SJWs are barely literate and barely capable of understanding basic math.

it's a worrisome trend that has existed for some time, long before trump took office. it's probably a consequence of the stupidification of the education system in general (much easier to raise compliant passive wage slaves when the education system isn't about educating as much as it is about indoctrinating and pacifying)

I think this is one of the biggest reasons why wages have been flat for many Americans. Education and training are falling apart. I actually think individual productivity is down for a lot of people (but really high in tech, which makes the overall numbers look higher)

He cited graduation rates, suspension, enrollment in college-prep and advanced-placement classes as other measures of school performance.

This shit is exactly what the school I'm at does.

They accomplished it by removing the gpa requirement to graduate, making it 10x harder to suspend kids (not that I think suspension accomplishes a ton), and removing pre-reqs from AP course enrollment.

And our superintendent constantly spouts off about how we're improving, it's fucking maddening.
