after getting the snes classic, i kinda realized that i have never ever played a kirby game, ok?

i also realized nobody i know personally has ever pushed me into trying one, or recommended one over some other nintendo game, ok?

so... are kirby games good? should i start with these two games on the snes classic? what do you personally think about kirby, asshole?

I f***ing love kirby games, the thing you have to realize though is that they're not hard games. Beating them is a bit of a joke.

But they're fun to just wander around and kill stuff with powerups.

My personal favorite is Kirby 64, but they're all really similar (assuming you're looking at the main series and not that weird DS-ball-kirby or racing games), so pick whatever system you want.

Kirby is fucking awesome if not usually really easy. Also all the games are notable for having extremely consistently solid final boss themes. If you like one game, chances are you'll like them all.

Games definitely worth trying include:
Super Star (or the DS remake)
Dreamland 3
Crystal Shards
Amazing Mirror
Return to Dreamland
Triple Deluxe
Planet Robobot

Also to answer your other question Dream Course is just a fun Kirby golf game. It's great with friends.

so super star is the more straight-up kirby experience of the two that are on the snes classic?

For sure. It's basically eight different mini games but they all have the same basic gameplay (for the main ones).

I would suggest playing the recommended games in the order they came out, as for the most part they just get better. Super star ages really well though, Kirby games are top tier platformers.

Crystal Shards (the N64 one) was one of my favorite games from my childhood, and it's still one of the very few games I enjoy on the system. Amazing Mirror is also really damn good.
