I thought it was really good as well. Hopefully it'll smash internationally because they really set it up for a third. The budget was just way too high I think for it to be a financial success. The original was a financial flop as well so I'm not sure why they thought a $185m budget would be appropriate for this one.

Um, sweety, it's only good if you're a white male. This is a movie for the patriarchy. Where are all the strong gay, hispanic, non-binary trans women in this future?

I do not know about you, but my enjoyment of any form of media is in no way dependant on the race, sex, gender or sexuality of the characters.

That review is technically correct on all points, and yet it completely misses the point. Yes, the culture in Blade Runner 2049 is heavily sexualized and often sexist. You're not supposed to glamorize it. The entire point of a dystopian story is that it's a bad future that we want to avoid.

For my part, I liked the movie. I feel it had some interesting philosophical points within a story that moved at an appropriately slow pace, and several shots that were uncomfortable were nonetheless important and meaningful. My wife hated the film and felt nearly traumatized by the final death, which I agree went on for too damn long. So your mileage may vary on whether you like this movie.
