Then you should have spoken to your manager and HR person beforehand. Walmart can make reasonable accommodations. But, only if you go that step. Secondly, any Walmart I have shopped at has pretty much been a disaster, products everywhere, and the employees were just awful overall. I bet the rules for attendance and whatnot directly reflects on the quality of work they get from their employees. I think of any store, Walmart has the worst customer service with employees that generally have shitty attitudes and the condition of the store reflects how much they don't care.
